After the tense standoff between the United States and North Korea last week, it appears to finally be calming down.
Reports are coming out that North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un has backed down from his threat to fire missiles at the U.S. territory of Guam.

According to NPR, Un “visited the Korean People’s Army as the self-imposed mid-August deadline for a missile demonstration approached … but after hearing the plan and considering it, Kim opted not to give the order to launch missiles, but instead ‘would watch a little more the foolish and stupid conduct of the Yankees.’”
This is precisely what President Trump KNEW would happen and why he took such a hard line on the reclusive nation.
Trump knows that Kim Jong Un may “talk a big game” but that, in the end, he will do nothing to threaten the Kim Regime.
Critics should now be conceding that Trump may know a lot more how to handle diplomatic relations than they give him credit for and that sometimes taking a firm line with these dictators is the way to solve these issues.
